NFL Odds Week 9: Biggest NFL Moneylines This Week

In this space, we’re monitoring the biggest moneylines for each week of the NFL season.

Here is how things shake out in Week 9:

1) Philadelphia Eagles (-769) @ Houston Texans

The Eagles carry a perfect 7-0 record into Thursday’s Primetime affair with the 1-6-1 Houston Texans. Needless to say, it’s difficult to envision any scenario in which the Eagles let this one get away. 

T2) Buffalo Bills (-625) @ New York Jets

Gang Green’s much-improved defense faces their stiffest test in star quarterback Josh Allen and the high-powered Bills, who outscored the Jets 72-27 in last season’s sweep.

T2) Tennessee Titans @ Kansas City Chiefs (-625)

Patrick Mahomes and company return from their bye for a matchup against a Titans squad that could very well be starting rookie signal caller Malik Willis for a second consecutive week. Willis attempted just ten passes in Sunday’s victory over the Texans but will likely need to air it out more against an explosive Chiefs offense.

4) Carolina Panthers @ Cincinnati Bengals (-400)

The Bengals struggled in their first game without star wideout Ja’Marr Chase, falling to AFC North rival, the Cleveland Browns, 32-13. A matchup with the 2-6 Panthers should help Cincy get things back on track, although Carolina has been feisty under interim head coach Steve Wilks, including a 21-3 upset win over the Bucs in Week 7.

T5) Indianapolis Colts @ New England Patriots (-222)

Patriots head coach Bill Belichick has historically feasted on young, inexperienced quarterbacks. That could be bad news for Indy’s Sam Ehlinger, who had his NFL debut spoiled at the hands of the Washington Commanders this past Sunday.

T5) Miami Dolphins (-222) @ Chicago Bears

The Dolphins put up 476 yards of total offense in Week 8’s 31-27 victory over the Detroit Lions. Miami now battles a Bears defense that recently traded All-Pros Robert Quinn and Roquan Smith as part of Chicago’s rebuilding efforts.

7) Minnesota Vikings (-175) @ Washington Commanders

The NFC North-leading Minnesota Vikings look for their sixth consecutive victory Sunday versus the Taylor Heinicke-led Commanders, who scored with 22 seconds remaining to stun the Colts 17-16 in Week 8.

T8) Green Bay Packers (-167) @ Detroit Lions

Something has to give in this one, with the Packers and Lions currently in the midst of four, and five-game losing streaks, respectively. 

T8) Los Angeles Chargers (-167) @ Atlanta Falcons

The Chargers return from their bye and look to avoid a second consecutive loss. Atlanta, meanwhile, is riding plenty of momentum following Sunday’s dramatic 37-34 win over the Carolina Panthers. 

10) Los Angeles Rams @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-161)

A matchup between two of the NFL’s most disappointing teams in the 3-4 Rams and the 3-5 Bucs. That said, perhaps brighter days are ahead for Tampa Bay QB Tom Brady now that his much-discussed marriage status is in the rearview mirror.
